Anyone who knows me knows I'm kind of a fitness geek. I really enjoy discussing the nitty gritty aspects of performance enhancement, biomechanics, nutrition, and pretty much anything else you can think of that pertains to human performance and well being.
I majored in kinesiology with a degree in health, fitness, & physical education from Whitworth University. I graduated with honors and learned a great deal while there, however, it was my first year of personal training that really opened the flood gates of learning. I picked up a tremendous amount of new information and experience that just isn't found in a text book. With my interest piqued, I decided to pursue a master's degree in exercise science with an emphasis on performance enhancement and injury prevention, which was completed through California University of Pennsylvania. Along with the procurement of these degrees I also hold a certified personal trainer certification (CPT) from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), a performance enhancement specialist certification (PES) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a certified speed specialist designation (CSS) from the National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE).
In closing, thanks for visiting and feel free to comment on any of my posts. I enjoy the discussion and will do my best to keep the discussion going.
